René Chalon (ECL87)

René Chalon obtained a Master in Engineering and a PhD in Computer Science from École Centrale de Lyon. He worked for ten years as a research engineer at the French CNRS on multimedia authoring tools in several European projects. He joined École Centrale de Lyon in 2000 as Associate Professor in Computer Science at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and researcher at the Computer Science Laboratory for Image Processing and Information Systems (LIRIS). His main research topics address Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Suppor mobile interactions for ambient intelligence using advanced interaction techniques (gestural interaction, mixed reality, eye tracking, etc.). His fields of application are mainly smart cities, mobile learning and serious games.
