From Asia to Africa, from Europe to the Americas, École Centrale de Lyon collaborates withuniversities of international renown in over thirty countries, whose number of agreements and partnerships is constantly growing. Every year, the École also welcomes a large number of international students to its campuses. Nearly 400 international students are welcomed every year in engineering courses (competitive examination, double degree, exchange year), master's courses and doctoral programs.
Ecole Centrale de Lyon is also pro-active within the framework of the Erasmus + Program, which plays a major role in the school's international reputation, particularly in terms of student mobility. The School has thus developed a strategy, and on the strength of this, the European Commission has issued the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education 2021-2027. The École also participates, along with other Lyon-based establishments, in the international policy of the University of Lyon.
Favoring the welcome of international students
Welcoming international students is a major challenge for reinforcing cultural openness and strengthening academic attractiveness. Fostering their welcome involves first and foremost simplifying the often complex administrative procedures, in order to facilitate their integration as soon as they arrive.
The Centrale Lyon International Relations team offers an administrative support service and follow-up throughout their stay. It participates in the integration week for international students, organized on their arrival at the end of August, to facilitate theirintegration into a new academic, social and cultural environment.
