The Groupe des Écoles Centrale aims to promote the uniqueness of the Centralien engineer and his or her international readability. The Centralien engineer is a multi-disciplinary, generalist engineer with the skills to:
- implement science and technology in the service of progress for mankind, society, companies and organizations;
- be a leader, entrepreneur, innovator and agent of change;
- design and master complex systems in all their dimensions.
Agile, forward-thinking and determined, the Centralien engineer knows how to adapt to shifting, cosmopolitan environments.
The training program develops 5 commonly defined skills
- Designing and prototyping innovative, value-creating devices;
- analyzing a complex system, in all its dimensions (scientific, economic, human, social) and proposing a solution ;
- lead complex programs or change processes responsibly;
- manage multidisciplinary and multicultural teams in charge of programs or projects ethically and responsibly;
- contribute to the development and deployment of a strategic corporate vision.

A common competitive entrance examination
- The CentraleSupélec competitive entrance examination, which is the main admission route to ,the schools after a preparatory class for the grandes écoles - CPGE (minimum two years of preparation after the baccalauréat);
- The common university competitive entrance examination, which is aimed at students in the final year of a licence or Bachelor's degree course.
International schools
- Centrale Beijing was born of a partnership with Beihang University in 2005;
- Cole Centrale School of Engineering was born of a collaboration with Mahindra University in India in 2014;
- Centrale Casablanca welcomed its first class in 2015.
