Philippe Blanc-Benon, graduated from École Centrale de Lyon (1979). He is a Senior Researcher at French CNRS and holds a Doctorat es Sciences (1987). From 2015 to 2020, he has benne Head of the Laboratory of fluid mechanics and acoustics, a joint CNRS research unit to École Centrale de Lyon, Claude Bernard University Lyon I and INSA Lyon. His research interests focus on the propagation of acoustic waves in inhomogeneous or random media, nonlinear acoustics for wave-turbulence interaction and infrasound, thermoacoustic. He is a Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America and Associate editor at the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America.
