Marie-Annick Galland

Marie-Annick Galland is Professor in Acoustics at École Centrale de Lyon. She is primarily a lecturer in Environmental Acoustics, Active Control and Adaptive Filtering, and includes in her teachings many applications: experimental studies, projects and case studies. She works at the Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics Laboratory (LMFA) and the Lyon Acoustics Centre (Labex Celya), and her research focuses on active control with original contributions in the field of smart acoustic materials. Her work was awarded the Plumey Prize from the French Academy of Sciences (Prix Plumey de l’Académie des sciences) in 2005, and resulted in publications and collaborations in the framework of national and international programmes. She was Director of Studies at Ecole Centrale de Lyon from 2008 to 2019. She was responsible for the development and the implementation of the school’s training policy, including continuing education.
