Isabelle Trébinjac

Professor Emeritus of fluid mechanics (CNU 60)MFAE/LMFA

Isabelle Trébinjac obtained an Engineering degree and a PhD from the Institut national des sciences appliquées de Lyon (INSA). Following her recruitment in 1985, she has pursued a teaching and research career at the École Centrale de Lyon, obtained her accreditation to supervise research and was promoted to the grade of Professor.

Her teaching and research interests concern fluid flows and energy engineering, mainly the aerodynamics and energetics of turbomachinery, and in particular, transonic compressors. Her research activities have mostly been experimental and have been developed with the assistance of, and in the context of, the Turbomachinery group of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) at the Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics Laboratory (LMFA). She is director of CIRT (Consortium Industrie-Recherche en Turbomachines), which aims to coordinate research and development work by French industrialists and academics.
