Cécile Nouguier

Associate professor of mechanics (CNU 60)MSGMGC/LTDS

Holding a PhD in Mechanics from the University of Montpellier, Cécile Nouguier is Assistant Professor at École Centrale de Lyon within the Tribology and System Dynamics Laboratory (LTDS) (UMR CNRS 5513) and the Department of Solid Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering (MSGMGC) since September 2000. Her research activities include the modelling of granular materials behaviour (numerical simulations using discrete element methods) and are applicable to the analysis of the particle shape effect for geomaterials and to the modelling of ultrasonic shot peening process, among others. She participates in various teachings of Solid Mechanics (continuum mechanics, resistance of materials...). She was elected member of École Centrale de Lyon scientific board from 2005 to 2013 and is an elected board member of the laboratory since 2012.
