Presentation

Following engineering studies in aerospace at the University of Southampton, ISAE-ENSICA and the University of Toulouse/ISAE-Supaero, Ariane Emmanuelli obtained a doctorate in fluid mechanics/aero-acoustics at ONERA/Université Paris-Saclay focusing on indirect combustion noise. She then did a post-doctorate in acoustic propagation in the environment at the LMFA at the École Centrale de Lyon, then a second on the aerodynamics of wind farms at the University of Twente in the Netherlands. Since 2021, Ariane Emmanuelli has been a teacher-researcher at the MFAE and LMFA - Environmental Flows team. There, she works on atmospheric boundary layer dynamics, pollutant dispersion, urban ventilation and wind noise propagation in the environment. She mainly uses numerical tools, particularly large-scale simulation.

Research projects

  • Dispersion in the stable atmospheric boundary layer
  • Urban ventilation - Part-Dieu district
  • Propagation of wind noise

Training courses

His teaching activity covers several areas offluid mechanics and geographic information systems (GIS). These disciplines are studied in detail for both engineering and apprenticeship students, with a focus on practical applications in the engineering, environmental and land-use planning sectors.
