Presentation

Alain Le Bot is an engineer graduated from Arts et métiers Paris Tech, holds a master's degree in mathematics from Université Claude Bernard, doc in acoustics from École centrale de Lyon and habilitated to direct research from Université Claude Bernard. He was first teaching mathematics at the Institut national polytechnique Félix Houphouët-Boigny (INP-HB) in Côte d'Ivoire. Back in France, he joined EDF R&D as research engineer in the acoustics and vibratory mechanics department.

He is currently research director at CNRS at the Tribology and Systems Dynamics Laboratory (UMR CNRS 5513). His research focuses on statistical theories in tribology, vibration and acoustics. He is author of several books including Foundation of statistical energy analysis in vibroacoustics published by Oxford University Press, Introduction aux vibrations aléatoires published by Dunod, Rédiger sa thèse en sciences published by KDP.

Alain Le Bot teaches at École Centrale de Lyon and Université Technologique de Compiègne. He is a member of the Celya labex steering committee, a project manager for the French Development Agency and deputy director of the MEGA doctoral school.
