Presentation

Frédéric Gillot is lecturer at École Centrale de Lyon in the department of solid mechanics, mechanical engineering and civil engineering. He carries out his research at the Tribology and Systems Dynamics Laboratory(LTDS), a CNRS joint research unit (n° 5513). He holds engineering degrees from the École nationale supérieure des arts et métiers (ENSAM) and the University of Vienna (Austria). An alumnus of the École normale supérieure, he holds an agrégation in mechanical engineering, a master de recherche and a doctorate from the École centrale de Nantes and the University of Nantes. He pursued post-doctoral research for two years at the University of Tokyo (Todai) with funding from the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science. His current research focuses on parametric shape optimization, multi-objective optimization and robust optimization.
