The "QS World University Rankings by subject 2022" has just been published for the year 2022! Centrale Lyon has risen 63 places in the "Engineering & Technology" subject rankings. It is now among the top 10 French institutions ranked, four of which are located in the AURA region.
The school distinguished itself in four new fields: "Civil & Structural", "Chemical", "Mathematics" and "Material Science". It progressed in the "Electronical & Electronic" field and excelled in "Mechanical, aeronautical & manufacturing" where it was ranked 136th.

The World University Ranking by Subject published by Quacquarelli Symonds (one of the three most reputable university rankings in the world) covers a total of 51 disciplines in 2022, grouped into five major fields. The rankings are compiled annually to help prospective students identify the best universities in a given subject area. Research citations, as well as the results of major global surveys of businesses and academics, are used to rank universities.
