Nearly 950 visitors to the Lyon-Écully campus
Laboratory tours, experiments, fun workshops... No less than 24 different animations were offered to the public, making "Demain s'invente", Centrale Lyon's science village, one of the major events of the Fête de la science on the Rhône department.
Among the day's highlights, three CNRS laboratories exceptionally opened their doors offering 64 visit slots. The public was able to explore the large atmospheric wind tunnel, where phenomena linked to urban pollution are studied, visit the acoustic halls and understand how sound propagates, or observe the inside of a white room to discover how researchers manipulate matter on the nanometer scale to design tomorrow's materials.
Thanks to the involvement of over 100 researchers, students and staff from the École, nearly 950 curious science enthusiasts of all ages were able to meet scientists in their workplaces, take part in numerous activities and have direct contact with the world of research.
