Reservation

2026-2027 Academic Year

Room assignments for the Compara residence hall cover the upcoming academic year from August 20, 2026, to June 30, 2027. Since the buildings are closed during the summer, housing is not available outside of this period. Requests for readmission for the following academic year are not automatic and are reviewed according to the conditions and criteria established by the institution.

First-year students in the general engineering program have priority, subject to availability and in the order in which reservation requests are received. Students whose family residence is located in the following municipalities do not have priority: Lyon, Écully, Tassin-la-Demi-Lune, Charbonnières-les-Bains, Craponne, Francheville, Sainte-Foy-lès-Lyon, La Tour de Salvagny, Champagne-au-Mont-d’Or, Villeurbanne, Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d’Or, Dardilly.

  • A confirmation email will be sent to you as soon as we receive your email, including a link that will allow you to complete your registration and schedule an appointment to pick up your keys.
  • Check-in will begin on August 20 Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, according to the time slots provided in the confirmation email. The residence office is closed on weekends

No, the security deposit must be paid online at the time of registration. It will be collected and then refunded when the resident checks out.
 

Residents of the Paul Comparat residence are required to purchase home insurance that covers rental risks for their room and common areas, as well as their personal liability. Proof of insurance must be provided within 48 hours of receiving the keys.

You must be there in person. On the day you receive the keys, you must sign your lease and the house rules.

No, the staff is busy welcoming students who have reserved a room; no tours are scheduled.

The Comparat residence's rules and regulations state that no household appliances are allowed in the rooms. However, a kettle or coffee maker is permitted.

In addition, the bedroom and kitchen are furnished; bringing your own furniture is not recommended, except for an office chair if needed.
