Nanolyon

Nanolyon is a local technology facility geared towards micro- and nanotechnology.

Nanolyon encompasses the resources and expertise of the INL in the following areas:

  • growth of materials,
  • micro- and nano-manufacturing technology,
  • bioengineering for health,
  • multiscale characterisation (from material to device),
  • numerical analysis.

Nanolyon comprises about 1,500 m² of technological and experimental space split between the La Doua Lyon-Tech campus and the Ecully Lyon-Ouest campus (including 825 m² of ISO classes 7-5 cleanrooms, an L2 laboratory and a living lab).

Nanolyon offers local and regional researchers a flexible facility that has versatile uses and access. It holds a comprehensive array of tools and offers special expertise in emerging technologies, devices and original concepts, which are ideal for use in theoretical, applied, academic or industrial research.

The platform is also used to assist the education of engineers and postgraduates at Université de Lyon. At the regional level, its resources are included in the Carat Alliance, a partnership with the Grenoble advanced technology platform.
