Presentation

Bertrand Vilquin, currently maître de conférences HDR at École Centrale de Lyon, has been working on the integration of functional materials and oxides since his PhD began in 1999 at the University of Caen. After a postdoctoral fellowship from the Japanese Society for Promotion of Science at Osaka University in 2002, he joined Paris XI University in 2005 for anindustrial project with ALTIS Semiconductors on next-generation MRAM. In 2006, he became a lecturer at the École Centrale de Lyon, where he continued his rresearch on the integration of functional oxides on silicon as part of academic and industrial projects. With a wealth of experience in national and international projects, he has coordinated three Agence Nationale de la Recherche(ANR) projects and has been visiting professor at the Universities of Osaka (2012) and Tokyo (2016). In 2016, he was appointed associate professor at the University of Sherbrooke and coordinates the "nanoscale engineering" master's degree at the University of Lyon until 2024. Holder of the Habilitation à Diriger les Recherches (HDR)since 2018, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the Société Française de Physique (SFP). He was elected director (rank B) on the board of École Centrale de Lyon and has been elected member of the scientific council since January 2023.
