Presentation
Doctor at Pierre et Marie Curie University in 2014, Laurent Seppecher is an alumnus of ENS Cachan and agrégé en mathématiques. He joined École Centrale in 2015 after a post-doctoral year at MIT. His research themes revolve around the analytical and numerical solution of inverse problems from medial or geoseismic imaging via partial differential equations.
Research projects
ANR PRC REWARD (Reverse weak formulation for parameters identification). Role: coordinator.
The aim of this project is the study of robust methods for the identification of parameters in elliptic PDEs, such as linear elasticity equations, from their solutions. In particular, it aims to improve the resolution and stability of medical imaging using elastography. This work should enable earlier diagnosis of cancerous conditions, such as breast tumors, for example.
Training activities
Interventions in Engineering courses:
- S5 - Numerical analysis
- S7 - Advanced tools for PDE analysis
- S9 - Wave propagation: theory and applications
- S9 and Master MAS/MeA - Variational methods for inverse problems in medical imaging
