Presentation

After a CPGE MPSI then PSI at the Prytanée National Militaire de La Flèche, Pierre-Louis Pape entered the École Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Poitiers where he obtained the diploma of engineers in Energy and Environment in 2023. At the same time he completed a Master Transport Aéronautique et Terrestre at ISAE-ENSMA, from which he also graduated. He is currently pursuing a thesis at Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics Laboratory since November 2023 and is attached to the acoustics team.

Thesis topic

  • Large-scale aeroacoustic simulation of an unshrouded fan.

This thesis is part of the European project PANDORA and the aim of the project is to provide an experimental and numerical database for the study of "Open Fan", an aircraft turbojet architecture recently developed by several manufacturers. The aim of this thesis is to realize "high-fidelity" numerical simulations in order to be able to extract the acoustics and study them for comparison with existing acoustic models.
