Monnier-Villaume Virginie

Virginie Monnier, an engineer who graduated from the École nationale supérieure de physique de Grenoble (ENSPG, Institut national polytechnique de Grenoble) in 2003, holds a PhD in materials physics from the Université Joseph Fourier (Grenoble) obtained in 2006 and the habilitation to supervise research from the Université de Lyon obtained in 2019. She worked for two years at the CEA in Grenoble and then at the University of Nancy before being recruited as a lecturer at the École Centrale de Lyon in 2008.

Research projects

His research activity at the Lyon Nanotechnology Institute (INL) concerns the synthesis and characterization of multifunctional hybrid nanoparticles for imaging, medical diagnostics and phototherapy.

Training activities

His teaching at École Centrale and in the Master international Nanoscale Engineering (NSE) focuses on molecular and materials chemistry, with a particular emphasis on nanomaterials.
