Presentation

Guillaume Lavoué has been a university professor at Centrale Lyon ENISE since 2020, after fifteen years as a lecturer at INSA Lyon. Member of the Origami team at LIRIS laboratory , his research work falls within the fields of virtual reality, computer graphics and human perception. He was deputy head of the M2Disco team in the LIRIS laboratory from 2015 to 2019, then head of the "Perception and Interaction" theme in the Origami team from 2019 to 2022.

Since 2020, he has led the LIRIS virtual reality research group at Centrale Lyon ENISE, which he founded around the themes of polysensoriality in immersive environments and user behavior analysis. Author or co-author of over a hundred scientific publications in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, he is also the author of several patents and associate editor of several scientific journals. He has supervised or co-supervised some twenty PhD students. Since September 2025, Guillaume Lavoué has been responsible for the Sensory Engineering specialty at Centrale Lyon ENISE. He is also a member of the Direction du développement des grandes transitions, in charge of the digital transition, and sits on the University of Lyon's Research Ethics Committee.

  • Partnership agreement with the Château de Guédelon (2024-2026) on the capture and multisensory immersive restitution of the gesture of site craftsmen.
  • CNRS Menechme project (2024-2025) - MITI call: Digital twins: new frontiers and future developments - "New methodologies for audio-visual capture, synchronization and immersive restitution for intangible heritage".
  • ANR Renforce project (2023 - 2027) "Reflexive Multisensory Immersive Environment for Chemical Risk Training".
  • Projet Pack Ambition Recherche de la Région AURA - PromesS (2022-2025) "Protocols Measuring the Impact of Multisensory in Cultural Heritage".
  • Partnership agreement with the CHU de Saint-Étienne and Réhacoor 42 (2021-2024) on the use of virtual reality in the treatment of eating disorders.
