Dr. Mariem Kacem-Boureau is Assistant Director-Director of Studies at Centrale Beijing, Beihang University, China. She is also a teacher-researcher at Centrale Lyon-ENISE.

She obtained her DEA and PhD in engineering sciences from the University of Perpignan with work at IMT- Albi-Carmaux. After an ATER position at ENSIACET - INP Toulouse, a post-doctorate at LEMTA-ENSEM-INP Lorraine in Nancy and a position as co-leader of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master at IMT Atlantique-Nantes, she has held a position as lecturer at ENISE since 2008. She obtained her Habilitation to supervise research from Jean-Monnet University in January 2017. She was responsible for training engineer specializing in Civil Engineeringby sandwich course as well as equality and diversity referent at ENISE. She has been a member of CNU section 60 and a board member of the Association Universitaire du Génie Civil.

Her field of research is transport and transfer in porous media applied to soil and groundwater pollution, CO2 capture and storage, and civil engineering waste recovery. She has worked on several national and international projects and via the supervision of several theses and masters.
