Presentation

Alexis Giauque obtained his diploma in engineering from École Centrale Paris in 2002, with a Specialization in aeronautics and space engineering. At the same time, he completed a master's degree with a thesis on plasma flow modeling (EADS Astrium). He continued his studies at CERFACS with a doctorate focusing on the stability of combustion chambers in terrestrial turbines, then completed his postdoctorate at Stanford University's CTR, where he studied the development of numerical methods for modeling combustion noise in aircraft engines. He then worked on the development of advanced computational strategies for aeroacoustic simulation as a research engineer at ONERA. Since 2013, Alexis Giauque has been Maître de conférences (HdR) at École Centrale de Lyon. His current projects focus on modeling turbulence in real gas flows and large-scale simulation applied to modeling broadband noise in turbomachinery.
