Presentation

After completing his thesis on the study of roughness effects in fluid-structure interaction, he was recruited as a lecturer at Université Paris Cité in 2011, where he defended his habilitation to direct research in 2022. He is now professor of mathematics at Centrale Lyon as of September 2023.

His main research topics are multiscale problems in fluid mechanics, shape optimization and phase field methods for interface tracking.

Research projects

  • Shape and Topology Optimization: Immanent Questions and Unfamiliar Emerging Subjects / STOIQUES / Member / Projet ANR

The STOIQUES project aims to federate researchers working in the field of shape optimization, a branch of optimization in which the unknown is a geometric domain minimizing a certain cost functional. The project addresses both fundamental issues (existence of optimal shapes, qualitative and quantitative properties) and more applied ones (modeling, numerical simulation of optimal shapes).

Training actions

  • MOD 11.4 Modeling and mathematical analysis of PDEs. Keywords: variational methods, spectral analysis, compact operators, numerical simulations under FreeFem++.
  • MIR 3.3 Deterministic mathematical models for the environment. Keywords: population growth models, parabolic equations, reaction-diffusion systems.
