Laboratoire Nanotechnologies et Nanosystèmes (Canada)
Located in Canada, the Laboratoire Nanotechnologies et Nanosystèmes (LN2) is a Franco-Quebec team that brings together the Université de Sherbrooke, CNRS, Centrale Lyon, INSA Lyon and Université Grenoble Alpes.
The laboratory is organized into 5 research areas:
- Energy on a chip
- Nanoelectronics
- Photonics, packaging
- Societal impacts of technological design projects
Created in January 2012 it has been renewed for its 3rd term in 2021.

ELyTMaX (Japan)
Inaugurated in 2016, ELyTMaX (Engineering and Science, LYon Tohoku joint Laboratory for MAterials and systems under eXtreme conditions) is a Franco-Japanese team involving Tohoku University, CNRS, Centrale Lyon and INSA Lyon. Its research focuses on the behavior of materials and systems under extreme conditions (pressure, temperature, corrosion...), thanks to expertise in mechanics, materials science, electronics and electrochemistry.
ELyTMaX is part of ELyT, a Franco-Japanese cooperation program with a 3-pronged approach:
- ELyT Global: an international research network in the field of materials and systems engineering (International Research Network - IRN)
- ELyT School: an annual summer school for engineering students, master's students and doctoral candidates from partner institutions
- ELyT Max: an International Research Laboratory hosted by Tohoku University
