Martine Marion

Professor in mathematics (CNU 26)MI/ICJ

After graduating from École Normale Supérieure de Fontenay
aux Roses and obtaining the agrégation of Mathematics, Martine
Marion initiated her research studies at Inria Paris-Rocquencourt.
She then moved to the University of Orsay where she defended
her thèse d’Etat. Since 1989 she has been full Professor at École
Centrale de Lyon. Her main research theme is the analysis of
partial differential equations including the long time dynamics
and multilevel methods in space and time with an emphasis
for problems arising from fluid mechanics, combustion or
population dynamics. Applied analysis is also the central topic
of the numerous courses that she has been teaching both in the
Engineering program at École Centrale de Lyon or in graduate
programs in Mathematics.
