École Nationale d’Ingénieurs de Saint-Étienne (ENISE) became an internal school of École Centrale de Lyon in January 2021. Over a five-year period, this school provides tomorrow’s industrial engineers with a strong technical understanding in mechanical engineering, civil engineering and engineering physics.
Founded in 1961, ENISE is a group member of the four national engineering schools created on the same model of training engineering students in concepts, technology and innovations in specialised fields.
The Saint-Étienne campus is located next to Pilat regional park and near to the gorges of the Loire river.
For over thirty years, ENISE has built up a growing research partnership and developed its educational offerings in the fields of mechanical, material and surface engineering with Centrale Lyon.
The institute maintains close ties with the city of Saint-Étienne. The economic fabric of Saint-Étienne is one of the most concentrated in France: 18,000 companies (including 4,000 SMEs) and 60,000 employed in the private sector.
