Manufacturing 4.0 by intElligent and susTAinable technologies

This program, taught in English, is an Erasmus Mundus joint master's degree under the aegis of the Ecole Centrale de Lyon and its internal school the National School of Engineers of Saint-Étienne in collaboration with the Mines Saint-Etienne, the Technical University of Chemnitz (Germany), University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), Polytechnic University of Turin - PoliTO (Italy) and Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Norway).

Objectives

Around two centuries after the first industrial revolution, the manufacturing industry has been drastically transformed and we have learned better ways to manufacture. However, efforts still have to be done to be able to embrace future technological and environmental challenges. It aims to train students to a level of excellence in one of the 4 specialized areas of Manufacturing 4.0:

  • Digital Manufacturing
  • Clean Manufacturing
  • Sustainable Manufacturing
  • Smart Manufacturing

Programme

Semester 1 : Fundamentals of Production Engineering (ECL- France)

Semester 2 : Materials Fundamentals (PoliTO - Italy)

Semester 3 : Specialization

  • Digital Manufacturing (NTNU - Norvège)
  • Clean Manufacturing (ULJ - Slovénie)
  • Sustainable Manufacturing ( ECL et EMSE- France)
  • Smart Manufacturing ( TUC - Allemagne)

Semester 4 : 5 month internship conducted whether in industry or in one of the partner research laboratories.
