Presentation
Arthur Perodou is engineer at École Centrale de Lyon, graduated with a Master of Science in Automatic Control and Signal Processing from the University of Southampton (UK), and docteur en Automatique from the University of Lyon in 2019. After a post-doctoral position at the IMS laboratory in Bordeaux, he joined the École Centrale de Lyon in 2021 as a temporary teaching and research associate, where he is currently Maître de Conférences since September 2023.
As a member of the "Automatique et Traitement du Signal" teaching team, Arthur Perodou develops teaching in these two disciplines, particularly in the generalist curriculum (L3 - M1 level). Within the Ampère laboratory, his research activities focus on the analysis and synthesis of interconnected dynamical systems by convex optimization for engineering science applications. In particular, he has regularly collaborated with engineers and researchers to help with the design of electronic systems, and has recently taken an interest in the consideration of safety and security constraints in controlled systems.
Research projects
- European SOIL CHIPS JU project (2024-2027) bringing together some thirty industrial and academic partners. Local project leader, funded by Europe and BPI, development of convex optimization methods for gmC filters (FDSOI transistors). Collaboration with CEA-LETI.
Training activities
- Regular lecturer (TD, TP, BE, Autonomy) in STI tc2 "Signal Processing" and ECS tc2 "Linear Automatics".
- co-Leader of STI tc3 "Analog-Digital Conversion for Audio Systems". Compulsory 8h course (BE 4h, TP 4h) in the core curriculum of the 1A generalist course (approx. 400 students). The aim is to illustrate the value of combining the disciplines of Signal Processing (STI tc2) and Electronic Systems (STI tc1) when designing information management systems, through an application: Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital conversion in the audio field.
- co-Responsible for STI a2 "Information Theory and Optimal Filtering". Elective teaching of 60h (CM 12h, TD 24h, TP 12h, Autonomy 12h) of 2A (about 25 students). The aim of this course is to complement the conceptual and technical foundations covered in the Signal Processing core course (STI tc2) by tackling the problems of Optimal Filtering and Information Theory.
