Presentation
Nicolas Hourcade has been teaching at the École Centrale de Lyon since 2001, as an ATER and then, from 2003, as an associate professor of social sciences. Director of the Human Sciences, Languages and Sports department since September 2022, he is mainly involved in the general engineering curriculum. He is responsible for several social science courses, in both the core curriculum and the elective pathway. With Baptiste Chomette, he is in charge of teaching internships (execution, application and gap year). He is also involved in various activities in the UE Professionnelle. An alumnus of ENS de Cachan and holder of a DEA in sociology, his research focuses on soccer fans and their management by public and sporting authorities. He is currently one of the personnalités qualifiées de l'Instance Nationale du Supportérisme with the Ministry of Sports.
