A strategic overhaul for Centrale Lyon's digital identity
Faced with the societal, ecological and economic challenges of the 21st century, Centrale Lyon is positioning itself as a key player in engineering and research. The redesign of its websites supports the work done on the brand and graphic charter, in line with the strategy 2030 of the Establishment. This impetus aims to boost communication and reinforce Centrale Lyon's influence both nationally and internationally, by establishing a coherent and impactful digital identity.
This unifying project reaffirms Centrale Lyon's ambition: "to become the recognized European Caltech on major transitions, at the service of socio-economic players" and contributes to highlighting the Establishment's two capital missions: training and research and innovation to produce and transmit knowledge.
A catalog to promote our training offer
While the General Engineering degree has remained the flagship program since the School was founded in 1857, Centrale Lyon's training offering has expanded considerably, particularly with the integration of courses offered by Centrale Lyon ENISE. This diversification makes it possible to offer courses tailored to the specific needs of different business sectors, while meeting the expectations of future students.
The redesign of the websites is a strategic lever to enhance this diversity and optimize student recruitment. Thanks to a high-performance search engine and redesigned navigation, pages dedicated to training courses now offer improved readability and simplified access to essential information.
Accessibility and ergonomics: websites designed for everyone
Designed to be accessible to all, Centrale Lyon's new sites meet the standards of the Référentiel Général d'Accessibilité pour les Administrations (RGAA) version 4.1.2. To guarantee an inclusive experience, particular attention has been paid to color contrasts, font sizes and typography, notably with the integration of the OpenDyslexic font. Users can adjust the size of texts, and the optimized spacing between interactive elements makes navigation easier for people with motor impairments.
In collaboration with LISIO, a French company specializing in digital accessibility, Centrale Lyon has integrated the "WebForAll" service. This system automatically adapts the interface and content to the needs of each user, ensuring a personalized experience for people with disabilities. This initiative reinforces Centrale Lyon's commitment to optimal digital inclusion.
