Administrative Registration at Centrale Lyon

Students admitted to one of Centrale Lyon’s programs must complete their administrative registration. This process consists of several steps, which are detailed below.

Enrollment in 6 steps

After receiving the admission confirmation email, students complete their enrollment at the institution via an online platform.

The registration platform will be closed from July 23 to August 17; your application will be accessible again once the institution reopens.
A hotline will be available from August 18 to 28, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for students at the Lyon-Écully campus at 04 72 18 64 00 and for students at the Saint-Étienne campus at 04 77 43 84 03.

To enroll in a French institution of higher education, students must provide proof that they have paid the Student and Campus Life Contribution (CVEC) or that they are exempt from it.

This fee, in the amount of 105€, is intended to support preventive health and health education initiatives, as well as to promote the social, health, cultural, and athletic support and integration of students. This fee is payable only once a year, even if a student is enrolled at multiple institutions of higher education.

Certain students are exempt and must submit a specific request on the dedicated website: https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr/ . If a student cannot provide proof of exemption at the time of enrollment, they will need to pay the fee and later request a refund on the same website.

Information and registration on the dedicated website

International students participating in an international exchange program are not required to follow this procedure. However, it becomes mandatory if they wish to enroll in another program outside the scope of an exchange agreement.

Registration is done online at: https://inscriptions.ec-lyon.fr using Chrome or Firefox on a PC.

  • For first-year students: Log in using the temporary credentials sent to you by email under the section “I don’t have my ECL username yet.” Once you’ve logged in, you’ll receive new login instructions. If you haven’t received anything, check your spam folder.
  • For students already enrolled at Centrale the previous year: log in with your Centrale credentials by clicking “I already have an ECL ID ”

If you lose your login credentials and/or passwords, contact dsi.support@listes.ec-lyon.fr

Registration will not be confirmed until at least the first installment has been paid and the registration has been approved by the Registrar's Office. Tuition fees can be paid in three consecutive monthly installments. Once the tuition amount has been approved by the Registrar’s Office, you will receive an email confirming this. You can then log back into the platform to select your payment schedule and proceed with payment.

Several payment methods are available:

Once the registration fee amount has been approved by the Registrar’s Office, you can log back into the platform to select your payment schedule and proceed with payment.

If you expect to receive notification of a French government scholarship, we advise you to not make the online payment until you receive the notification (unless you are in the process of applying for a visa). However, if you have not received this document by the first day of classes, you will need to make an initial payment. Submitting the document proving eligibility for the scholarship at a later date will allow for a refund if you are exempt from tuition fees.

If you have since received a scholarship notification, simply log back into the platform, go to the “Scholarship” section, and select “Add a Scholarship.” The Registrar’s Office will review your request and get back to you. This process can be completed at any stage of registration, regardless of whether a payment has been made.

Once your registration has been approved by the Registrar’s Office and if you are enrolling at the school for the first time, you will receive an email to activate your IT account and your institutional email address.

You can then log in to your IT account by clicking on the link “I already have an ECL username.” Please complete the following steps as soon as possible:

  • update your address
  • track your deadlines
  • submit a scholarship notification even if you receive it late
  • download your enrollment certificate or payment receipt once a payment in accordance with the payment schedule has been made

If this is your first enrollment, your student ID card will be issued at the start of the academic year, provided that all enrollment steps have been completed and validated within the specified deadlines.

The day after your registration is approved, you will be able to activate your Centrale IT account. You will be provided with instructions on how to do so at that time.

Once you have activated your IT account, you will be able to log in to the registration site using your Centrale credentials by clicking on “I already have an ECL username”

The enrollment certificate will then be available for download in French and English.

Your Centrale email account will be created at a later stage.

Once you have paid the CVEC fee, you will receive an email from CROUS to activate your IZLY account. If you are not required to pay this fee, you will receive this email once you have activated your IT account at the School and we have issued your student ID card (Step 3).

This step is important so that you can have access to the university dining hall starting at the beginning of the school year.

You’ll pay for your meals through this account using the IZLY app or your student ID card. Once your account is activated, don’t forget to add funds to it!
