Romain Bachelet

CNRS ResearcherSTMS/INL

Romain Bachelet is researcher at the Lyon Institute of Nanotechnology (INL) since 2011. He obtained his PhD thesis in 2006 in Materials Science at University of Limoges (laboratory SPCTS) and spent 4 years as post-doctoral researcher at the Materials Science Institute of Barcelona (ICMAB), Spain. His research has focused on elaboration of nanostructures and heterostructures of functional oxides, their structural characterizations and physical characterizations, for energy, nanoelectronic, and optoelectronic applications. Its current research targets the monolithic integration of pyroelectric and thermoelectric oxides on Si platforms by MBE for thermal energy management and harvesting in optoelectronic devices. He is co-author of more than 50 scientific articles published in peer-reviewed international scientific journals, coordinates and participates to numerous contracted projects, and currently co-supervises several PhD students and one post-doctoral researcher.
