Emmanuel Leveque

CNRS Research DirectorMFAE/LMFA

Emmanuel Leveque joined the French CNRS in 1997 at the Physics Laboratory of École normale supérieure de Lyon. He joined the Fluid Mechanics and Acoustics Laboratory (LMFA) as Senior Researcher at École Centrale de Lyon in 2013. The general topic of the research activities developed by Emmanuel Leveque is the theoretical modelling and numerical simulation of turbulence in fluids. His activities are focused on the study of the transport of material particles by turbulence, the modelling and the numerical simulation of industrial flows (large eddy simulation; Lattice Boltzmann method) and the transport properties in superfluids (cooling at very low temperature; cryogenics). Emmanuel Leveque contributes to the development of the industrial CFD software ProLB.
