The SuperGrid Institute is an energy transition institute (ITE) that was created in 2014. It is a research and innovation centre, federating academic and industrial specialists in high voltage networks, energy transmission and conversion and direct current systems, with the goal of achieving increased energy efficiency and mass integration of renewable energy sources into the country’s electrical grid.
Its mission is to support its clients in the development of high-voltage DC systems and, as a corollary, high-voltage AC systems. The SuperGrid Institute offers a complete range of value-added services and technology, from research and testing to the pre-generation stage and consulting.
