Bioengineering and Nanotechnology option

Filières : Bio-ingénierie | Nanotechnologies

Coordinators: E. Laurenceau and B. Vilquin

This option provides students with an interdisciplinary education in physics, chemistry and biology. It gives them an understanding of the recent and future applications of advanced technology in the fields of bioengineering and nanotechnology.

The skills acquired by the general engineer over the first two years are complemented by fundamental knowledge in micro- and opto-electronics, photonics, nanoscience and biology. The interactions between these different disciplines will be demonstrated through various examples: microsensors, functional materials, systems on a chip, medical imagery, biomaterials, big data and others.

Students completing this course will be highly sought after to lead projects based on the intersection of these different fields.

This option consists of a series of lectures and a specialisation project. Students also choose to follow one track, either Bioengineering or Nanotechnology.
