Finance your studies

Ecole Centrale places significant importance on the international students that it recruits from partner universities. Consequently, the school seeks to assist students by finding suitable financial solutions and participating in a certain number of assistance programs. It has established several agreements with organisations which provide financial assistance for the duration of studies of international students. Please note that these aids do not cover the full amount of the expenses needed for the stay in Ecole Centrale de Lyon.

Bourses Eiffel, or Eiffel Scholarships

The Eiffel excellence scholarships program was launched in January 1999 by the French Foreign Affairs Minister. This program allows Ecole Centrale de Lyon to support its own international recruitment program towards countries with emerging economies. Students coming from these countries who are either enrolled in the double ddegree/Master's program or working towards a doctorate may be eligible for this scholarship. Please check with your home university.

For the 2014 academic year, Ecole Centrale de Lyon has received 11 Eiffel excellence scholarships at the Master level.

Scholarships from the China Scholarship Council (CSC)

The China Scholarship Council is a Chinese public institution stemming from the Chinese Minister of Education. The CSC encourages student mobility between China and foreign countries by offering financial assistance at the Bachelor, Master and Doctorate levels of education.

For about ten years, the CSC has provided financial assistance to 170 Chinese students and 85 French students on the double degree program in the Ecoles Centrales group. For Ecole Centrale de Lyon, there are 153 Chinese students and 30 French students who have participated in this double degree/Master's program.

In 2005, the Ecoles Centrales group signed an agreement with the CSC allowing 50 Chinese doctorate students to come to Ecole Centrale de Lyon.
