Pierre BRUN is graduate in engineering from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Géologie de Nancy, Ecole des Mines de Nancy and Ph.D. from the Mines Paris Tech. He began his career at the Agence Nationale de Gestion des Déchets Radioactifs (ANDRA) and after he joined the Civil/Hydraulic Engineering Department of the Compagnie Nationale du Rhône (CNR). During 17 years, he has successively occupied at EDF's Hydro Engineering Center the positions of R&D Engineer, Design Engineer and Project Manager, Area Manager for the Africa, Latin America and the Middle East and Senior Project Manager. He was from 2011 to 2014 in Charge of Project Development at EDF’s Insular Energetic Systems Department. He manages currently the EDF’s HydroEngineering Center Department in charge of renewing concessions. He has been involved mainly in Renewable energy and specially Hydropower. He has a teaching experience at IGAL, ENTPE, University of TOURS and is currently PAST at École Centrale de Lyon.
