Manuel Cobian

Holding a PhD from the Pierre et Marie Curie University, Manuel Cobian is Assistant Professor since 2013 at the Department of Materials Science and Surface Engineering (STMS) of École Centrale de Lyon where he teaches the core Materials Engineering subjects. He completed his post-doc at the Institute of Materials Science of Barcelona (ICMAB), the Laboratory of Condensed Matter Physics and Nanostructures (LPMCN), now a member of Institut Lumière Matière (ILM) in Lyon, and the Institute for Nanoscience and Cryogenics (INAC) at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA Grenoble). His research focuses on the study of interactions between molecules and surface atomistic modelling techniques such as density functional theory (DFT) and/or molecular dynamics (MD).
