Jean-Jacques Sinou

Professor in solid mechanics and mechanics of structures (CNU 60)MSGMGC/LTDS

Jean-Jacques Sinou holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from École nationale supérieure des ingénieurs des études et techniques d’armement (ENSIETA). Holding a PhD in Mechanics from École Centrale de Lyon since 2002, he is Professor at École Centrale de Lyon. He is recognised expert in field of  non-linear dynamics and friction and noise induced vibration. He has authored or co-authored about 100 peer-reviewed journal publications. He was a member of the French National Committee for Scientific Research (CoNRS–Section 09). In 2015, he was appointed a junior member at the Institut Universitaire de France. He is also responsible for the research topic “Nonlinear dynamics, damping and uncertainties” at the OpenLab PSA Vibro-Acoustic-Tribology@Lyon. He teaches continuum mechanics and dynamics of mechanical systems at École Centrale de Lyon.
