Jean-Jacques Fry

Jean-Jacques FRY is a professor at Ecole Centrale de Lyon and the author of numerous publications. He regularly partakes in many international congresses: he was the chairman of the organisation committee of the International Conference on Erosion in Paris in 2012 (ICSE-6 of TC213 of the ISSMFGE) and was president of the study group on internal erosion of the European club of International Commission of large dams (CIGB) between 2002 and 2012. He was also the secretary of the French committee of large dams (CFBR) from 1991 to 2002 and the representative of the CFBR at the technical committee of the CIGB of embankment dams (2002-2013). He is the editor of three newsletters including bulletin 123, after having been a representative to the technical committee of seismic aspects of the CIGB (1996-2002). And he was a member of the French committee of Soil Mechanics (elected onto the board from 2003 to 2006) and the French Association of earthquake engineering.
