Emmanuel Rigaud

Associate professor of mechanics (CNU 60)MSGMGC/LTDS

Emmanuel Rigaud graduated in Mechanical Engineering from INSA de Lyon. He became Research Engineer at École Centrale de Lyon and the Tribology and System Dynamics Laboratory (LTDS, UMR CNRS 5513). In this context, he obtained a PhD in Mechanics in 1998, then became Assistant Professor in 2001. He holds an accreditation to supervise research since 2013. He is currently responsible for teachings in Mechanical Engineering at École Centrale de Lyon. He performs his research at the LTDS, within the Tribology, Physical Chemistry and Dynamics of Interfaces research team. His activities are centred on the relations between contact dynamics and the overall performance of mechanisms in terms of vibroacoustic, friction and wear.
