Carole Sanchez

Carole Albarracín Sánchez graduated from the University of Paris IV-Sorbonne (1986) and holds an “agrégation externe” in Spanish, option Portuguese (1994). She first worked at Lyon 3 University and eventually she joined the École Centrale de Lyon in 2004 to coordinate teaching of Spanish and Portuguese. She is presently the head of Languages and Cultures Department, teaching Spanish and Hispanic culture, prioritizing immersion education, which includes interaction, communication in an intercultural dimension. Her position allows her to organize various cultural and scientific events (conferences, workshops, and ongoing trainings, etc ...), to participate in cross-cutting activities of the school and to work with the International Office, particularly in Spanish-speaking countries and Brazil. She is also the Secretary General of Union of Foreign Language Teachers Grandes Écoles & Higher Education).
