Economics and organisational social science unit 1 SEHO unit 1
Objectives
The Economics and Organizational Social Science: teaching unit runs and teaches all of the core syllabus economic, management and social science subjects.
This Unit seeks to provide students with the cultural keys, practical scientific grounding and effective means of action both in the fields of economics and corporate management and in human and social relations and communication.
First year courses aim at acquiring the fundamentals of Economics and Corporate Management.
The program for the year thus comprises two sequences:
A General Economics module in the first term, providing students with the means to understand macro-economic mechanisms and dynamics. A Corporate Management module, taking students into the world of business, and presenting the different kinds of corporation, analyzing their internal functioning and management. These basic structure courses lay the foundation for the 2nd year advanced and optional modules.
The courses are related to the practical courses in the Engineering Profession unit, and the Project Management course in particular.
