The technical services department is in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the buildings, and of prospective planning for construction and installation and the corresponding site-work. It also takes charge of the School's general logistics (other than catering).
It main missions are to ensure conservation of the realty and to optimize logistics.
The technical services covering realty and logistics functions are run by an engineer: the director of technical services.
Basic activities
Managing the various realty upkeep facilities.
Ensuring application of rules and standards for public institutions.
Expert examination of existing realty; inventory, diagnosis and monitoring of realty.
Analyzing needs expressed by users and management for new construction, conversion or renovation work.
Advising and suggesting technical solutions adapted to specific needs.
Drawing up and explaining provisional budgets for any operations (projects and realty equipment); following up performance.
Planning, running and accepting building, maintenance, adaptation and safety operations in line with technical, regulatory and financial requirements (contract management).
Conducting or steering preliminary technical studies; ensuring or managing the assurance of contractual operation or mission performance.
Organizing, coordinating and monitoring technical, logistical and sub-contract team performance.
Advising and suggesting all solutions tending to improve purchasing (contracts, deals, etc.)

Two realty departments (22 agents). The maintenance department looks after the buildings (mostly dating from the late 1960s); the grounds department looks after the non-built areas (grass sports fields, pathways, woodland, etc.).
Two general logistics departments (43 agents): a cleaning department (cleaning of non-residential buildings, laundry), and an interior department (reception, switchboard, caretaking, dorm cleaning, photocopying)
