Objectives

AIMS OF THE 2nd YEAR INTERNSHIP

The 2nd year internship has a very different purpose from 1st year's, in both spirit and form.

- It lasts between 2 and 3 months (8 weeks minimum) during the June-July-August period, and needs to be directly concerned with the job of an engineer, taking each individual student's choices into account:

production, studies, quality, marketing, programming and computation, normalization, inspection, technical assistance, maintenance, applied research, consultancy, development, pilot installation, technical sales, etc..

- At a personal level, the aim is:

 to improve acquaintance with corporations, functions and organization;

 to enable application of theoretical knowledge acquired at the School and to obtain economic and human resource training to back up the 1st year internship;

 to join in a team and perform an engineer's tasks for a corporation.

The job performed and the work done are for a fairly short period - as is asked of the new engineer starting his or her career.

Internship contract

As in 1st year, an internship contract has to be signed between the Firm, the School and the student.
