25/11/2006 : Official opening of Ecole centrale de Lyon 150th anniversary
The 2006 year graduation ceremony took place on November 25, 2006 at Ecole centrale de Lyon. This event officially launched the celebration of the Centrale Lyon 150th anniversary.

 23/11/2006 : A new project  and a new management team at Centrale  Lyon
Professor Patrick Bourgin, a 1973 graduate of ECL, was appointed director of Ecole centrale de Lyon (ECL) by the French Minister of Education on Novembre 9, 2006. After carrying out Centrale Lyon temporary management for over a year he is now in charge of one of the 10 biggest French Engineering Schools. On September 21, 2006, Christian Mari, a 1974 graduate of ECL, was elected President of the governing board of Centrale Lyon.

 26/10/2006 : On October 26, 2006, the governing board of Centrale Lyon formally agreed to the constitution of the coming University of Lyon - PRES  of Lyon (Pôle de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur de Lyon)-.

 18/09/2006 : Centrale de Lyon : a top level recruitment and a new 3rd year program starting with the 2006 academic year
340 students entered Centrale Lyon on September 12, 2006.
