Teaching staff

Recognized experts

138 permanent teachers, both French and foreign - 90% with doctorates - look after the students and accompany them in their professional projects. As well as teaching, they carry out research in the School's laboratories, run missions with and on behalf of corporations, and take part in international projects. They are often members of academic or professional networks, and regularly match their work against colleagues', at both a national and an international level.

Over 300 outside speakers, from the world of business and economics, back up the teaching teams. They provide permanent input from corporate reality, thereby enhancing the employability of the School's young graduates.

Teams at work on teaching

Our training of general engineers is based on a pedagogic project involving three major criteria: teaching a wide range of concepts, and ensuring that they are assimilated, over a set period of time.

The teacher therefore has to select those scientific and technical concepts which are going to stand the test of time, and those methods whose operational value has been tried and tested. They have a teaching approach which encourages active involvement, and provide a varied range of illustrative examples.

The School's teachers also work in pedagogic teams, designing global projects combining acquisition of knowledge, know-how and behavioral skills, in line with the above criteria.
A few key-words sum up months of work carried out on the subject of teaching reform: student autonomy, learning by problem-solving, teaching and learning with technology, knowledge, and skills.
