Internships

Working in companies has a prime role in training: each student spends an average of eight and a half months in companies during their studies, with internship periods ranging between 4 weeks and 6 months.

The work internship (a one month's internship as a worker, at the end of 1st year) is, for most students, their first experience of an industrial corporation.
The application internship (2 to 3 months at the end of 2nd year) is a direct experience of the engineer's job.
The end-of-studies work (5 to 6 months at the end of 3rd year) is authentic engineering work for a beginner.

Company internships are an important stage in an engineering student's life: work experience is a bridge that as often as not leads straight into a first job. Intern and corporation draw mutual benefit from their relationship.

Bernard JEAN, head of the Business Relations Dept, helps Bernard Jean, responsable Relations Entreprisesstudents prospect for internships:
"Like when looking for a job, the student takes the time to define his or her project, both personally and professionally. It is a question of transposing your motivation into the corporate setting, and asking yourself what you can contribute. You then have to go to those who have the information - companies, former students - and prospect "
