Every new year is sponsored by a Centrale Lyon graduate working in a company and appointed by the Alumni, who will welcome the 1st year students on that day and take part in many events during the student's year.

The Journée Centralienne, run by the Alumni's association, is the annual meeting of students and alumni. During this day, the School organizes the Graduation ceremonies. The Gala - organized by the students - completes the event.

A team of Centrale Lyon students runs this meeting with over 70 companies and some 21,000 visitors in th Lyon Convention Centre. Presentations and round-tables let students and new graduates get a better idea of the engineering business.
First of all, this day offers opportunities for students to get in touch with business, thus to start to build their professional network.

As of April 1st, 3rd year students go off campus for their End-of-Studies Internship (TFE, or Travail de Fin d'Etudes)
As of June 1st, 2nd year students begin their Application Internship.
And, as of July 1st, 1st year students do their worker's internship.

This is the last step before graduation. There is a first session of presentations between late June and mid-July, and a second in September.
