We put the accent on double degree courses run with our partner universities. The reference here is the TIME (Top Industrial Managers for Europe) network. Extending this policy to China and Brazil was a decisive step in the development of this service reserved to the cream of our partner establishments. Our main undertakings here are carried out in close co-ordination with our partners in the Centrale Graduate School.

Other students, also referred by our partners, come to take one of our 3rd year options, or simply to get credits such as under the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

Likewise, French engineering students have the possibility of going to one of our partner establishments, in France or across the world, to do a 2-year specialist engineering course instead of their 3rd year here in Centrale Lyon. In this way, they can get an MSc from the U.S., the U.K, Australia or Japan - or just go there to study for a year without seeking a degree. A quarter of our students each year are allowed to replace their 3rd year on campus by one of these courses abroad, with strict and demanding supervision.

Foreign students can also be admitted on Master's courses in our research laboratories' fields of excellence, or to prepare their Ph.D. thesis, sometimes under joint supervision with the partner university.
