On the occasion of its 150 years, Ecole centrale de Lyon campus was the place for a week of celebrations from May 7 to May 13, 2007, during the so-called '150 hours of Centrale Lyon'. Students and Alumni of ECL gathered with its corporate, academic, institutional and local partners for a series of cultural and sporting events.

This week especially included the first opening day of Ecole centrale de Lyon on May 12, 2007

The '150 years of Centrale Lyon' was organized by a team of students and supported by ECL's direction

- "Human friction, physical friction" exhibition
a co-operation betweeen the Rhône-Alpes Higher School of Design and the Laboratory of Tribology and Systems Dynamics (LTDS) of ECL

- "Paul Emile Victor and the polar expeditions"

sporting tournaments gathering students of various higher schools on ECL's campus

rock contest between students groups to win a single recording in a professional studio

Friday 11

a conference on "Paul Emile Victor and the polar expeditions", to honor the birth centennial of this former student of Ecole centrale de Lyon on the occasion of the 2007-2008 International Polar Year, with Daphne Victor, daughter of PEV. (link to French site)
